I have a request from a friend researching Steely-vented Hummingbirds (Amazilia saucerrottei) in Columbia. We need comparative examples of the songs and calls of the species from Costa Rica, Venezuela, and Nicaragua in order to compare them to an allopatric population of the birds in Columbia. If you have any recordings of this bird, I'd appreciate the use of samples for this study. Thanks very much, Doug Doug Von Gausig Clarkdale, Arizona, USA Moderator Nature Recordists e-mail group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/naturerecordists [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
