Subject: [Nature Recordists] Mourning Dove

Dear all,

we are in need of original sound recordings of the Mouring Dove.

We participate in a reintroduction program for the closely related
Socorro Dove which became extinct in the wild in the 70ties. For this
purpose we keep and breed SDs at our bird park. In former times, SDs
were often kept together with Mourning Doves so that occasionally both
species hybridized in captivity. To cancel out the possibility that our
doves are the descendants of hybrids we conduct bioacoustical studies.
In order to compare our sound recordings with those of the bioacoustics
of the Mourning Dove we would highly appreciate to have access to
original sound recordings of the Mouring Dove.

Any help to get these data is welcome.
Martin
