Hi Walt
Sorry, I have been away for a while, business calls for some of us poor
buggers who still have to work!! I now have those recordings for you
using the same microphone.
The sounds are unfiltered and the roar in the background is the ocean, I
think you may be impressed with the quality of the flash card player, it
really does give the Portadisk a run for the money and I'll be
interested in the new PMD-670 when she finally hits the shelf. I have
had a few looks at the mail here and there seems to be a concern about
the pins on the flashcard, I must admit, I have taken the card out a
million times and not yet had any problems... I love the Portadisk, it's
a great tool, but I love the Marantz too, it can only get better, you
certainly don't need to take a laptop into the field, you do all your
recording out there and edit the card or cards on return and the speed
of the transfer digitally, is second to none.
