I recommend the Sony because it is durable. No consumer MD will give
you digital out. You will have to worry about that later when you
find someone to do a digital out transfer for you. I would recommend
that you buy the one that has the mic input even though you wont
initially use it. That way you will have a pocketpack for when you
didn't expect to record but ended up recording anyway. Then your stop
gap equipment will serve a couple more functions than you have right
now. That being a pocket pack and a loaner machine for anyone who
happens to be out with you. Just go to the closest Best Buy and get
the current model on the shelf if you decide the buttons are large
enough for you. I think the only one you will find with Mic in will
be the N707 right now. Sony is stearing away from direct record MD's.

noise this weekend in a quiet environ.
