Small AC power supplies like are used for this sort of thing leak AC. And putting enough filtering in to stop it in the Portadisc would take a lot of volume. I'm sure they have some filtering. It's probably getting into the mic through the ground side. As Klas says, the Telinga assumes you are running portable. I've been using mine for years, and had never checked this until this question came up.
