Sorry. Not a clue, John. I guess I'd just have to take a chance that
it would go through and bring a small back-up system with you as
carry-on (mine consists of a couple of ECM 55B lavs, a DAT recorder,
earphones, a few DAT tapes and some extra batteries). That way, if I
get stuck and get the stuff ripped off or it doesn't arrive, I can
always tie a string around the trunk of a tree the diameter of which
is about the same distance between our ears, and get very credible
binaural recordings.
