I use an ME67, shock-mounted with rubber bands and in a home-made
windshield, the whole thing mounted on a monopod. I get no handling or wind
noise noise.  The cable is firmly tied down to avoid noise.  It is a good
mic.  You should be able to mount it so that you don't get handling noise.
