I was going through the stuff from Macworld expo and noticed something
that might be of interest.

M-audio has brought out a 24bit/192kHz 7.1 surround sound card.

There are at least two versions, one appears to be output and/or
surround processor only.

The second, Sonica Theater USB 7.1 Surround Sound Card also appears to
record 8 channels 24bit/192kHz. It's USB so it might work for those who
are fans of taking laptops into the field...

I've not bothered to look up details, I'm only interested in recording
stereo well. But for those who have been looking into how to record 5.1
surround, the ante has been upped to 7.1. Toss those 5.1 mic setups and
rethink.
