Yes, the two are used to mean pretty much the same in English, measured as=

frequency Hz or kHz. Many terms in music have the equivalent in audio or
sound engineering.

Volume and loudness also mean similar measures (=3D voltage, or sound
pressure), but some technical literature distinguishes "loudness" as being=

corrected for the different pitch sensitivity of the human ear.  This is
because a tone of 10 kHz sounds to a human less loud than a tone of the
SAME VOLUME for 1 kHz.  Most of us use the terms the same.
