Carmen - without training it's not possible (or even legal) to raise a baby 
bird. Apart from anything else proper identification is essential. I don't 
know where you are, but contact your local RSPCA, or your equivalent of 
WIRES (in NSW), or even a local vet. Be quick though... (And later you might 
want to think about confining the cat.)
