Nothing to worry about as Federal Infrastructure Minister Catherine King said “You’ve got the Jerrabomberra Wetlands here as well, which is a really sensitive
and beautiful area that will need protection, but that’s what master planning allows you to do.”
If they do build there, rest assured it will be mainly for the well heeled.
Andrew Barr’s throwaway line was that it was “expected that there would also be a combination of public, community and build-to-rent housing, as well
as accommodation for key workers”. How much of that will go in there? I can see Andrew Barr’s cash register going overtime with the calculation of the extra rates. What key workers?

The article linked below indicates plans to redevelop the land from Jerrabomberra creek across to the railway station including the areas currently used by CIT, the Fyshwick Markets, etc. That would put redevelopment right
on the edge of the silt trap on Jerrabomberra Creek. They're talking about 6 to 8 storey apartments, presumably similar to Kingston Foreshore.
