We saw them (3) this afternoon at the eastern end of the pond.

Hi John, and others
The Blue-bills will have been there somewhere but can be tricky to spot as they are often lurking along the edge of the cumbungi reeds or moving into and out of the reeds. There were three blue-billed males there in the last few days and there are also juveniles accompanying adults. Given the youngsters, the birds will be around for a while longer. They have been reported in eBird at Upper Stranger Pond most days since early December, so maybe keep on trying. The most recent report was this afternoon at 2.30...

Drew a blank this morning. I went to look at Isabella Pnd and 'Upper Isabella Pond' (the one further south on Drakeford Drive) and no luck there either. But the Great Crested Grebe had moved to Upper Isabella (if the same bird).
