Hi,
Here's a screenshot of the Birdata page with Pallid Cuckoo selected. (I zoomed in on NSW then the Canberra region).
On the bottom right it shows the reporting rate by year.
Note that reporting rate is the percentage of surveys that contained the species, and only standardised surveys are included in this.
I'm not sure why another bird atlas is needed, when there is ongoing data collection through Birdata, which can be so easily viewed in the "explore" tab, and refined at a touch by species, or date range, geographical range (including drawing a polygon
around the area you choose) or survey type. One's own files can be exported as files readable by excel, and requests for other data can be made.
