Hi Philip,
Thanks for the reply! My best guess at this point is a pale morph Brown Falcon. My wife and I will have to try walking in the same area again, but it won't be until the weekend so the bird will probably have moved on long since then. Next time
I'll make sure that my camera is ready to use.
