Hi all,
While walking my dog yesterday evening I finally got a clear sighting of a cuckoo dove on Carstenz St. While I did not have my camera on me, I had a very clear view of the diagnostic features (see my ebird submission https://ebird.org/checklist/S179092641
for details) as it perched in a bare tree only 35 metres from where I was standing for several minutes, before flying towards me and into the cover of a magnolia tree.
Unfortunately by the time I was back with the camera it was getting dark and there was no sign of the bird, but I would assume it is still in the area somewhere.
Ben
