Thank you for the update Nicki. Highlights from my Blitzing were the sites Lia Battison and I visited in southern Namadgi on Saturday - which included courting Scarlet Robins and nesting Tree Martins at Mt Clear. With Lucy Randall, White-browed Woodswallows and two Swamp Harriers at Yankee Hat and with David Dedenczuk a great list of 57 species at Tin Hut at Googong today.  This last was an additional foray to cover key historical Hooded Robin sites in the NSW Area of Interest.

Well, at least today was completely different to last year with warm and then almost too hot weather. Tomorrow could be another matter but I don’t think we’ll have the rain.

Thank you for all the ebird lists, at least 70 have been shared already. I haven’t even begun to look through them, but feel free to share your highlights.

I started in woodland near Tuggeranong Hill, with a suite of typical small birds but also Speckled Warbler and Mistletoebird.

As the day warmed up I went for some elevation and cool air in the Brindabellas and got some of the wet forest species – Lyrebird, Pilotbird, Whipbird, Wonga Pigeon and Crescent Honeyeater.

Cheers
