Well, at least today was completely different to last year with warm and then almost too hot weather. Tomorrow could be another matter but I don’t think we’ll have the rain.

 

Thank you for all the ebird lists, at least 70 have been shared already. I haven’t even begun to look through them, but feel free to share your highlights.

 

I started in woodland near Tuggeranong Hill, with a suite of typical small birds but also Speckled Warbler and Mistletoebird.

 

As the day warmed up I went for some elevation and cool air in the Brindabellas and got some of the wet forest species – Lyrebird, Pilotbird, Whipbird, Wonga Pigeon and Crescent Honeyeater.
