A pair of grebes has hatched 5 babies recently at the pond at Bugden Avenue. We saw them away from the nest yesterday but they were in the feathers of the one sitting on the nest today. The other grebe is very busy collecting food for them.
The nest is near the road, not far from the round silt trap.
