Hi COG crew
Not a feathered question I know, but I was wondering whether any Jerrabomberra NR regulars have observed any platypus there since August this year?
During Waterwatch's Platypus Month this year, there was a significant flood (approx 5,000ML/day) on 4 August and no platypus were observed during the subsequent four surveys conducted. This is the first time we've observed no platypus in the eight years
we've been conducting surveys there. Also, I've received no ad hoc sightings of platypus from Jerrabomberra in the ensuing months.
Would appreciate hearing of any sightings and also for people to keep an eye out for them when next visiting the wetlands.
With thanks,
Woo
