It is with sorrow that I note the passing of Henry Nix, a long term member and friend to COG and birds.

Henry was 84 and died on 2 February.

Henry was President or Vice President of COG 1979 -1982.

Amongst many COG activities Henry was instrumental in the establishment of the Garden Bird Survey.

He will be sadly missed by many COG, CSIRO and ANU friends and colleagues.

An obituary will be prepared for CBN in due course.
