I can add to that, three Gang-gang Cockatoos, flying across the lake from Black Mountain Peninsula. In general though I noted minimal reaction among birds to
the whole spectacle.

In an sms message reply to a Stuart Harris post I mentioned that while watching the various aircraft through binoculars from the Kingston Foreshore precinct I noticed hundreds of birds, many not visible with the naked eye, high in the sky. There were quite
a few different species involved and some were flying in formation as if about to "attack" the invading aircraft. All in all it was a spectacular display from both the "war-birds" and "non war-birds", especially the Roulettes that did most of their aerial
stunts directly over where my wife and I were sitting.
