Many thanks to everyone who has passed on information of fledglings they have observed this season, I’m now aware of 27, the highest number to date of any year so far.
Courtesy of Jerry Olsen this includes one which was first found in a Red Wattlebird’s nest within the same small area now for 3 years in a row, begging the question of whether the same pair were involved. If so they certainly remain naïve.
So if you have recently seen a fledgling, or do so in the future, please
send me a brief e-mail of when and where you first saw or heard it, and if possible the host species (most likely a Red Wattlebird) that is feeding it.
Any other interesting Koel observation is also welcomed.
Many thanks
