Superb Parrots

My son saw at least 40 Superb Parrots about 4:45 pm on 1 January on Mildura St Fyshwick, on the grassed area across the road from Canberra Milk.  Looking at the eBird Australia map this seems an unusual location for them, with no records for at least 2.5 km away for all of 2020.  Jack Holland

A flock of ten or more regularly around Wanniassa, with at least two begging youngsters. Sometimes over my place, or stopping in neighbouring large trees

Graeme, a flock of Superbs the same size or larger was flying and calling between JRH Park and the big old gum trees in Watson dog park, under the power lines, yesterday late afternoon. Libby

Hi,

Last week a flock of about a dozen Superb Parrots again feeding in the E. polyanthemos  at the top end of Chisholm Street.  Also seen in the bush behind the southern end of Duffy Street.

Best, Graeme
