Drive north on the extension of Northcott Drive north of Fairbairn Ave, in Campbell. When you get to the carparks, drive around to their right, and park at the end adjacent to the bushland. Walk north-east, keeping the bushland to your
left and grassland to your right, then turn north along either of two trails from the grassland into the bushland, carefully avoiding the numerous large kangaroos. This is Campbell Park.
After a few hundred yards you will come to a horse gate, which resembles a cattle grid. Birding can be good here. Cross this gate and you are in Mt Ainslie Nature Park. You can head north along the boundary trail, and wander into the
bush to the west as you wish; or you can head west then north up the hill. There are some trails, or you can follow the birds if you are happy to do so. Take a compass and a sense of direction if you wander.
Attached image from Google Earth may help. I have also attached the map from the COG website, which covers a larger area than the image.

Steve

Subject: [Canberrabirds] Campbell Park
Hi everyone,
I'm thinking of going to Campbell Park this weekend, but I don't know how to get there or where the walking tracks are.
The COG website has been confusing for me about this place.
So does anyone know where this park is?
