Maybe but McComas Taylor’s novel but apt description of the call as Paul Keating, Paul Keating in his nifty little book, Field Guide to the Birds of the ACT.(1st edition) refers to the Spotted Pardalote. That suggestion came from his - then young - daughter that the Spotted Pardalote says Paul Keating

At 3:00 this afternoon, as the sun came out, I heard a repetitive cheep cheepeating call coming from the garden and saw a Striated Pardalote perched on the house guttering regaling the surroundings with its continuous call. About three minutes later it flew to a tree 25 metres away, perched and resumed calling. I settled down in a sheltered nook out of the breeze and watched as it moved between house and tree for some 20 minutes, calling incessantly from each perch. I remembered McComas Taylor’s novel but apt description of the call as Paul Keating, Paul Keating in his nifty little book, Field Guide to the Birds of the ACT.(1st edition)
