A few days ago at Jerrabomberra Wetlands this bird was seen inspecting nesting hollows in the company of a Crimson Rosella over an extended period.  Initially I thought it was an Eastern Rosella, but it doesn’t look “correct”.  Could it be a hybrid Eastern Rosella/Crimson Rosella.  It is probably not a juvenile Crimson Rosella otherwise why would it be inspecting and entering potential nesting hollows?
