Hi Jack,
Between 10:45 and 11:45 I was outside for two short stints, totalling 15 minutes. I saw 290 Yellow-faced fly over my place in Kambah. I only heard 1 White-naped Honeyeater.
Regards
Lia

Many thanks Lindsay, Jean and the many others for your reports, certainly the best honeyeater migrating conditions so far this autumn.
Clearly the YFHE migrating season is not over, with the next 3 days, in particular tomorrow morning, looking very good too. And still very few White-naped HEs.
What is interesting is that it’s been around 12 days since the last peak migration day on 31 March.

Many honeyeaters over Jerrabomberra this morning. I spent an hour outside with my camera from 10:15 and I estimate 7-8000 birds passed over, mostly flocks of 70-80, the largest 350. I scanned 120 photos that I took and could find only
18 White-naped and 1 Eastern Spinebill, the remainder being Yellow-faced.
