Thank you Alison, Philip, Nick and Lindsay, it points to signs of a slightly
early start (compared with last year anyway) to the honeyeater migration
season. Probably no surprise if much of their habitat has been burnt. The big
question of course is how many will come through and how long it will last.
So please keep a lookout, and also for the Noisy Friarbird, at least 6 came
quickly through my garden yesterday after very few in my local area since New
Year. Numbers of Red Wattlebirds have also been down compared with usual, as
have those for the Striated Pardalote, so keep please an eye out for these
partial migrants too.

Subject: Movements
I was at Narrabundah Hill this morning. One group of 50+ YFHEs came over while
I was at the dam near the western boundary (the spot where we had hundreds if
not thousands come over during Jack's April outing last year). Later as I
returned along the northern edge another flock of perhaps 30.
