I am currently camped at the Braidwood Showground, here doing some bushfire
recovery work with Blazeaid. At 3:15 this afternoon a flock of about 300
honeyeaters passed over heading east. Has anyone sighted any movements over
Canberra?

Morning all

Quite a few birds moving through my patch in Hawker over the last few days:

- Heard bee-eaters fly over on Wednesday and Friday.
- A silent female Rufous Whistler skulking in the garden on Saturday.
- A group of five Grey Fantails passed though on Friday.
- The first Golden Whistler for winter arrived yesterday.
- A single Yellow-faced Honeyeater getting out of town on Sunday, after a 4
degree minimum temperature.
- A Rufous Fantail flitted around the garden for 20 minutes just this
morning!

More of a local rather than a migratory movement, I heard a couple of
Double-barred Finches on Friday. First record at home for a couple of years.

Anthony
