Neil H and I walked through the fire-ground the Monday after the fire, and talked to some of the firies. My comments then, plus bird list, are at

Fire was pretty patchy and many trees survived, although some saplings and some older trees did not. I’m not sure about the quarry, though – others may have visited since.

There was a map in today’s Canberra Times showing where the recent Beard fire burnt.

It has become apparent to me that much of Newline Quarry was included in the fire zone.  Am I right?

 

Does anyone know what the situation is at Newline?
