In a 3-hr wander at CB this morning I encountered three mixed flocks. All had speckled warbler, weebills, striated Pardalotes, yellow-rumped thornbills, fairywrens. Two had brown-headed honeyeaters and rufous whistler. The final group I saw had well over 50 birds in it.  The groups were very widely separated. I think Jack mentioned mixed flocks in his column recently, but I still found it unusual.
