Importance of the Chat Line

Ken

The Chat Line is important for the reasons you raise but perhaps those with more knowledge should just point something out and not go on and on. That can be hurtful. It is simple to email the person rather than everyone. I have had that discussion with Philip in the past.

I understand where Kym and Mark are coming from.

With certain correspondents I just delete their emails.

I rarely send anything to the chatline and I apologise for keeping this going.

Leave it alone, enjoy the photos and get on with life.

Thank you Jean, well said. The Chatline is a very useful way of quickly communicating about rare sightings, and for discussing all things bird related.

Dear COG members

This chat line is a very important glue to keep us together and a very important source of expertise and assistance to new birders.  Even if we do get things wrong occasionally!

So can we please try to forgive each other our trespasses and be kind?

Jean
