Sorry to be so specific. Yesterday Tina bought along a feather to the Tidbinbilla open day to identify. Picked up on a recent COG outing. It is 13 cm, such a strange colour, the options are very limited. Bronze to olive on top (depending
on light), at first look is brown below but with a distinctly yellowish tinge, including a distinctly yellow shaft (underneath but black on top). I am confident it is a wing feather of a female Satin Bowerbird. Seeking confirmation, if anyone has a photo of
the underwing of a spread wing of same, that would help. HANZAB pictures show underside in flight, which is the best I have here, which strongly supports my expectation. The HANZAB text (Vol 7A, page 909) description fits exactly.
