For the past couple of weeks we've been seeing Black-fronted Dotterels
at approximately the same location each time we cycle Forest Drive
around the Dairy Farmer Hill loop at the arboretum. After taking a
camera with a decently long zoom with us this morning, the photos show
that the birds are sitting on an egg laid within about half a metre of
the bitumen surface of Forest Drive.
