Last Thursday I saw one flying across the road in front of me, in perhaps an unlikely location - Boorowa, north of Yass

My daughter sent me a short video of one calling as it emerged from trees near her apartment at Newtown in Sydney. It was being harassed by ravens.

While visiting Kurri Kurri in the Hunter Valley in the week commencing 23 September, Channel-billed Cuckoos were very active. I eventually tracked them down
and found four of them feeding in a glorious mulberry tree on some of the best mulberries I have ever seen. Unfortunately the only video I got showed a single bird in a tree nearby.

Subject: [canberrabirds] Channel-billed Cuckoo
A neighbour, who has lived in Brisbane and is familiar with the call of a CBC, reports hearing one at sunrise this morning. They have been recorded on eBird in Melbourne since 11 October 2018 and
at Wallaga Lake since 30 September 2018.
I have no idea what it would be finding to feed on in this area at this time of year.
