No Koels but keeping on the cuckoo theme, I had a lovely look at a pair of Channel-billed Cuckoos down at St George's Basin on Monday 8th October. One was offering the other a fruit of some sort while they did their best to ignore the Peewees that were hassling them.
I thought it was quite early to see them this far south?

Good morning all,

I have been away from Canberra for several weeks so may have missed any
messages but has anyone recorded Pacific (Eastern) Koels in Canberra so
far this spring? There has been one calling a long way off from my house
in Kaleen early this morning.

Mark
