A pair of Common Mynas in my street in Deakin has chosen a broken street light for a nesting hollow. The shield glass has broken leaving a fair-sized,
if rather jagged, opening.
I can’t see exactly what stage they are at but it appears there is grass and other nesting material in the light; I have seen one bird in the nest
and one on top of the post with a large insect in its bill; I have seen both birds in the nest.
But I have not seen incubation or feeding activity yet. So I am not sure if they yet have eggs in the light. I’ll keep watching.
