Following the conversation about B Gerygs with Sandra on our relatively birdless walk on the upper slopes of Black Mountain on Saturday, I picked them up this morning.  BGs, anBG. They were a little higher than I’d seen them before, in and around sections 48/50. This shows what to look for: pronounced white brow and thin dark bill, patterned tail.  You might also see the red-brown iris, hear the conversational wit-it-it  They are probably the busiest of the small birds up there.  As to numbers, I am only certain of 3 but there might be one or two more.
