Mark's message stirred me to try to have a look at the banding records for the species. For reasons that bewilder me I've never done this before. The information available on
the ABBBS site is most interesting. The furthest distance recorded (from 1162 recoveries) was 94km. To my surprise Google Earth reveals it is only 124km, as the honeyeater might fly, from Mates Gully to the Hall TSR.
