c. 50 yrs ago they nested in our Garran gums every spring; no more; but we did see them over McQuoid’s Hill on Sun

Subject: [canberrabirds] Noisy Friarbirds

A number of subscribers have reported recently Noisy Friarbirds in their areas after a long absence.

I had expressed an interest in these observations. I now have checked a roost flight path that Noisy Friarbirds have used in the past, and could record close to 40 birds over a long period of time. I will report on those and other related observations of the Noisy Friarbird in short talk to the April COG meeting.

Thanks,

Michael Lenz
