Another car break in at JW

I've seen police doing random visits to the JW car park - and other reserves. Doesn't seem to make much difference. I see them most often at Kambah Pool - yet there are several piles of window glass there.
My car's been broken into at Pine Island and at Callum Brae in last 3 months. There was nothing in view in the car, and no valuables anywhere. The morons doing these things got away with nothing, but I've paid out many hundreds to replace the window twice.
Some people leave car unlocked and window down at JW - that saves having to spend several hundred dollars replacing the window.
I'm now nervous about going out of sight of my car at any of the suburban reserves. Not a good feeling...

Better security like that, would be a great idea. There is a slight problem though. These things cost money and in order for the government to justify it, there needs to be a heightened need, in comparison with everything else they do. Such as better security around campuses at night. A heightened need would only arise from increased numbers of adverse incidents........ We don’t want that at JW. Perhaps ask police to include random visits to the site in their travels.

Thanks for the head up. Time for the JWNR Trust to install some security cameras?
