My contribution and species haul was modest, with just 11 data surveys done.
Only thing slightly less common I got was a pair of Hooded Robins that flew
over my car as I drove across the Tharwa Bridge. I missed doing my favourite
site this year (I believe this being the site David referred to as "rural
lease near Tharwa"). Most years I do that site and I find I struggle to by
myself get all the species present. Last year I spent about 2 hours there,
partly because I got lost. This year there were Black-faced Cuckoo-shrikes
almost everywhere. Does one flying carrying a caterpillar constitute "CF"?
Or do they do that for reasons other than having young? When I did my last
site, Sunday about 5 pm, at Tuggeranong Creek (outlet of the lake) at the
bottom end of Learmonth drive, there was another car with a COG and a WWF
sticker parked there. I wonder if someone was surveying the same site at the
same time.......
