I went to look down into the Queanbeyan sewage ponds yesterday and both pontoons in the only visible pond were decorated with active Great Cormorant nests.  In one case when the bird moved off two small chicks were visible.

I have also been advised on 11 March of a Red Wattlebird feeding a Koel Chick (image attached) on a deck adjacent to Telopea Park.  The Wattlebird had raised a brood of its own chicks earlier in the season.
