The link below shows a female Satin Flycatcher solving the problem of how to feed a dragonfly to one its young. After several false starts it is obvious the juvenile does not know how to swallow the dragonfly. The female then waits for just the right moment to shove the dragonfly head first down the juvenile’s throat. To me, the female shows considerable patience and ingenuity in understanding and solving the problem.
