Hello Sue,

A neighbour took these photos recently and is seeking ID. She lives on the edge of the Deua NP, on the old Cooma Road, just north of the Big Hole area. We're hoping they might be Powerful Owls with young.

When I asked about their call she said 'sort of hoo hoo'.
