Nineteen Plumed Whistling-Ducks at Burrows Lane dam (Bungendore) yesterday.
The owner of the Trucking Yard Lane dam and what we call the Bungendore
Meadows dam, both of which have been dry for some weeks, is
substantially deepening both dams, and raising the dam walls. This will
be good for watering his stock but may mean that the habitat is not so
good for water birds, and they may be more difficult to see from the
roads. We'll see.
