I’ve received the following message from a friend of mine concerning the roost site for ibises that spend their days in and around the city.
Each evening from our balcony, which faces O’Connor Ridge, we see ibises flying north or NW from the CBD sometimes individually but also in groups – we counted a total of 18 ibises flying in groups and individually on Sunday evening. They presumably
are going somewhere to spend the night and presumably also fly back toward the city and lake each dawn – we haven’t observed this though. Do you know where they are likely to spend the night?
I confess to not knowing the answer to her question but am sure there is someone out there who can. Any assistance appreciated.
Thank you.
