The birds certainly seem as if they are guarding a nest. I was a little alarmed this morning to note that, since the birds were rediscovered last Saturday, paths have been trampled into the tall grass where the birds now are which seems rather
unethical to me, especially as the birds are very visible and highly photographable from the mown area. Anyone should be able to see them, without disturbing any possible nesting, by staying out of the tall grass. Surely we would all like this to be a successful
breeding event.
