Sounds a bit like an escaped Rose-ringed (Ring-necked) Parrot to me. The colour of the beak does not sound like a Superb parrot nor does the "high piercing call". Three (potential) escapees does sound a bit much though. It may have joined some genuine Superbs. Off the top of my head I can't think of any other species it could be. mark -----Original Message----- From: Elizabeth Keen Sent: Wednesday, 29 June 2016 9:29 PM To: Subject: Superb Parrots? ID help needed please. This afternoon in a bare deciduous tree outside Lyneham Primary school, a parrot yellow/light green all over, with long pointed tail, greenish beak, high piercing call. Would this be a female Superb Parrot? Two others appeared as it flew off. **************************************************************************** *************************** |
