Yes, I visited the wetlands this morning and can confirm that I saw and photographed dusky woodswallows that were present in about three close locations.

A good variety of ducks on the water, mostly pink eared and shovelers in bright plumage.

Hi Donna, yes, I reckon that is worth reporting re both the time of year and the number. I trust that you are confident that they were woodswallows, not starlings?

But please note that you record will be wasted in the sense that it will not go into any standard database. The Birdlines are like social media in that they just provide a way for sharing an observation with others who care to visit the Birdline website.

It is far preferable that you submit your record to eBird, COG or Birdata. That way it will be retained, and used, in databases.

Just wondering if approx 20 Dusky Woodswallows at Jerrabomberra is worth reporting to Eremaea Birdlines, based on the time of year?

Other highlights this morning were the Intermediate Egret that seems to be becoming a regular, and the recently reported large flock (at least 90) of Pink-eared Ducks foraging vociferously!
